Scroll down the list and go to the “About” screen to check your OS version
If you have E.v2, choose Option 2A
If you have V.A, V.B, V.D or V.E choose Option 2B
2. Acquire your update
Download "Updater_G.exe" (the map update only) to the DESKTOP of your computer. Connect the GPS to your computer via USB cable. Run the program to update the map. (Select the G35 picture)
note: E.v2 version only
Download "G35_OSRebuild.zip" (the OS version E.v2 & Map update) to the DESKTOP of your computer and unzip ALL the files and folder onto a clean 1GB or 2GB SD card
note: V.A, V.B, V.D and V.E versions only
3. Firmware and map rebuild implementation:
• Connect G35 to AC adaptor and slide the power switch on the rear of the GPS to the OFF position.
• Insert the SD card into the slot on the side of the GPS.
• Press and hold the power button on the top of the GPS.
• With the Power button still held, slide the power switch on the back of the device to the On position.
• Continue holding the Power button down for approx 10 seconds or until the display lights and a status bars is shown.
• Place the GPS on a stable surface and ensure that it will remain powered.
• The process will take about 45 minutes.
• When finished the main menu is displayed.
• Remove SD card from GPS and check info box in travel kit. Software version should now read 20090401.E.v2
• Return to main menu, switch off or reset the unit and then launch the Navigation software
• Keep the SD card in a safe place and it can be used as disaster recovery disc.
